ME IR Rating

Multi Engine Instrument Training

The Multi Engine IR training can be done in 2 ways: As a combined IR training on the ME or as an upgrade of an holding SEP- IR Rating

ME-IR upgrade

The Multi Engine Upgrade Training consists of the following elements:

On the end there is a Skill test on a ME-Aircraft.

There is no additional theory training required.

You may need some refresher ground school before starting the Flight Training, just talk to us…

Full ME-IR training

To start you will need the ME-VFR Rating, or at least the training have to be done.

Practal Flight Training

The entire training will be 55 hrs in total

At the end there will be ME-IR-Skill test.

The advantage of combining the ME-VFR training is that there is only one combined skills test required for bote ME-VFR and ME-IR.

Requirements to start the ME-Training

Medical

According the requirements of your licence

RT License

To fly in Europe you need to have a Radio Telephony (RT) licence on IR level.
If you don’t have a EASA-RT licence you can do it with us.
the UK-RT licence includes automatically the IR part.

Language proficiency check (LPC)

All EASA – Pilots have to have at least a Level 4 of the ICAO language grading.
You can do the LPC with us. IF you do it in any other school – check weather this school is interntionaly aproved by the CAA-Uk
