renew an expired Rating. 

For the different Ratings there are different renewal requirements depending the type of Rating and how long a Rating has expired - please have a look to the right side for the details...

Validity - SEP - Single engine Pistion

Valid 2 years

Language proficiency check (LPC)

All EASA  - Pilots have to have at least a valid Level 4 of the ICAO language grading.

Level 4 and 5 have to be renewed, level 6 is for live time

Medical

according the requirements of your licence and age

Validity of the ME-VFR Rating

1 year

All EASA  - Pilots have to have at least a Level 4of the ICAO language grading.

You can do the LPC with us. IF you do it in any other school - check weather this school is interntionaly aproved by the CAA-Uk

Renewal of Ratings

According the elapsed time since the Rating expired, there will be the different requirements:

  • retraining to be ready for skill test
  • skill test

expired more than:

+ 3 month
+ 1 year
+ 3 years
  • Retraining at least 2 sessons
  • skill test 
  • Retraining at least 3 sessons
  • skill test 
  • expiry longer than 3 years, the applicant should again undergo the training required for the initial issue of the rating!
  • skill test

expired more than:

+ 3 month
+ 1 year
+ 7 years
  • Retraining at least 1 training sessions
  • skill test 
  • Retraining at least 3 training sessions
  • skill test 
  • expiry longer than 7 years, the applicant should again undergo the full training required for the initial issue of the rating - theory and flight part!

In any case the ATO have to assess the training level of the Pilot and prepare a training program to get him to the level of the required Skill Test.

The ATO also has the possibility in special cases to derogate from the requirements of the retraining, in this case the ATO have to prepare an individual training program.
